about
The song concerns itself with the Colombian national football team's ill-fated run in 1994, which ended with defeat, drug lords and murder. "This song is about the togetherness and pride - as well as the pressure - that I imagine that exciting group of footballers must have felt, before it all went horribly wrong," Nick Hemming. To bolster their Columbian credentials, violinist Mike Siddell was actually born in Colombia and his dad taught the ex-Colombian goalkeeper, Farit Mondragon, in primary school.
